Yeah – unlike most other Ligue 1 clubs AJA doesn’t seem to have much of an english fanbase or some english fansite for that matter. But I’ll try my best to keep the rest of the world up to date!

@ ursus: ok ok but it’s staying in the top flight that counts Auxerre have never been the most traditional of teams – I’m sure they’ll figure out new ways to stay at the top for decades to come.

Great to see AJA get some coverage on here, and let’s all hope that they start to turn things around.

A pedant notes that they were in fact relegated from various lower divisions on a few occasions in the pre-Roux era, but it is the case that they have never been relegated from the top flight. I have a very bad feeling in the pit of my stomach that that record won’t survive the first decade of the 21st century.
